A little town that used to be home to one of Unova's Pokémon Gyms, Icirrus City is now just a little waypoint in the northwest of the region. Before it was part of the main route, but now it's a post-game destination that you'll reach near the end of your journey. There's not a ton to see and do, but you should look around just the same.
  • On the south side of Icirrus City is one of the entrances / exits to Twist Mountain. We'll have a look around Twist Mountain in another section of the walkthrough.
  • There's a Battle Girl loitering in the Pokémon Center. She'll give you a Black Belt. Also here is an old man who will purchase 'ores' from you. He'll accept things like Stones, Pearls, Gems, Shards, Star Pieces, and Star Dusts. He'll purchase items for more than you would get selling them to a normal vendor.
  • To the east of the Pokémon Center and across two bridges you'll see a PP Up. Approach and the Shadow Triad of Team Plasma will appear and challenge you to a battle. As with the main game, you'll fight all three of them, one-at-a-time. They will each deploy two Bisharps, so if you have a Pokémon with a Fighting-type move you'll slaughter these guys. The first fight is a normal battle, the second is a Triple Battle, and the third is a Rotation Battle.

  • In the northwest Icirrus City is a Fan Club. Show the president one of your Pokémon and he'll tell you at what level you got it. If the Pokémon gained between 25 and 49 levels since you met it the president will give you an Exp. Share. Between 50 and 98 levels will earn you a Cleanse Tag, and gaining 99 levels (basically taking a newborn all the way to level 100) will earn you a King's Rock.
  • In the north of Icirrus City is a house with three excitable quiz-givers who will ask you a variety of questions. Get one right and you'll receive an Antidote. Get it wrong and you'll get a Parlyz Heal. You can do this once a day. (But... why bother?)
  • South of the Fan Club you'll find a Max Elixir. You can only grab this item in the Winter.
  • The Pokémon Gym from Black and White is still here, but all of the trainers are gone. The only exception is Brycen, the former leader, who will speak to you briefly before leaving again. You need to speak to him to unlock one of the movie options back at Pokéstar Studios, where Brycen works.
  • If you come to Icirrus City in the Winter you'll find snow heaped up beside the gym, granting you access to a patch of dark green grass. There's a NeverMeltIce up here.
Whether you can reach the NeverMeltIce or not, you'll be on the doorstep of Dragonspiral Tower, our next destination.

Dragonspiral Tower Pokémon - Exterior

  • Druddigon - Rare, Tall Grass, Never in Winter
  • Emolga - Rare, Rustling Grass, All Seasons
  • Mienshao - Common, Tall Grass, All Seasons
  • Sawsbuck - Common, Tall Grass, All Seasons - Form changes with the season

  • Unfezant - Rare, Rustling Grass, Never in Winter
  • Vanillish - Common, Tall Grass, Only in Winter
  • Vanilluxe - Rare, Rustling Grass, Only in Winter
When you enter the grounds of Dragonspiral Tower you'll find a bridge leading to the main structure. You can Surf off of the bridge to the east to find some more patches of grass that are a bit easier to navigate than the ones outside the grounds. You'll find a Carbos sitting in the grass.

If you visited N's Castle prior to this visit you'll find Cedric Juniper standing outside Dragonspiral Tower. He'll heavily hint at what you need to do next - head up the tower, no surprise - and give you an Old Gateau. If you don't see him here then you should probably go back to Victory Road before going through here, as you'll eventually need to make a second trip up anyway.

Dragonspiral Tower Pokémon - Interior
  • Druddigon - Common, Walking, All Seasons - First floor only
  • Golurk - Common, Walking, All Seasons
  • Mienshao - Uncommon, Walking, All Seasons - First floor only
Dragonspiral Tower is devoid of trainers this time around, so aside from wild Pokémon you can explore with impunity. Head to the first area, filled with broken columns, and push the boulder in the north to one side. In the far north you'll find a Red Shard hidden in a rock, and behind the column to its right is an Elixir. Sitting on the base of a column near the exit in the west is an Ultra Ball.

In the next room over is a series of jumps. If you take the lower course of jumps around the circuit you'll wind up at a Protein. Take the middle jump from the set of three near the beginning and you'll wind up at a Shiny Stone. The lowest course will take you to the spiral staircase in the west.

The next room consists of stairs and platforms. Near the top you'll find a Lustrous Orb, a Griserous Orb, and an Adamant Orb. All three are connected to legendary Pokémon from the fourth generation of Pokémon. (None of which you can catch in Black 2 and White 2. Ah well.)

The next area up is the 'spiral' in Dragonspiral Tower. It's pretty straightforward so long as you keep an eye on what's coming up. You'll find TM02 Dragon Claw, a PP Max, and a Max Revive by sweeping your way around the tower. On the next floor up you'll find a Comet Shard.

The stairs on this floor will take you to the top of Dragonspiral Tower. If you visited N's Castle on Victory Road before coming here he'll have given you a Dark Stone (Black 2) or a Light Stone (White 2). It will change into either Zekrom (Dark Stone) or Reshiram (Light Stone), and you can catch it here. Completing this encounter will unlock Kyurem, back in Giant Chasm.
