After allowing Runeheart to air her grievances about her mother in the previous quest you'll have the task of boosting her through the second level of friendship. Runeheart stays close to home, and spends most of her day in or around the Hearts and Sparks Shop on the west side of Moonbury Town. She also seems to like Moonbury Park, to the south of the shop, and spends many evenings at the Lazy Bowl Tavern.
Max out the second level of friendship with Runeheart and she'll put up a notice on the Bulletin Boards throughout town, warning everyone that she's engaging in an intense training regime with her mother. You are not recommended to go there between 10:00 and 18:00, Monday to Saturday, so of course you should absolutely visit Hearts and Sparks between those times.
Mother and daughter are still at each other's necks, and you'll enter just in time to see an argument in progress. Opalheart leaves, and Runeheart, deciding she needs to settle down and make amends, asks you to track down some materials for her. Two of the three items she wants can only be found in Barren Wasteland, so you'll need to unlock that area before you can make any headway in Runeheart's request.
The materials you need are as follows:
- Ten Razor Fins. Razor Fins are dropped by the Ironfins located in the far south of Barren Wasteland. You can only get two per visit, making this part of the quest by far the most annoying.
- Five Gold Nuggets. Gold Nuggets can be found in the smaller rocks of Barren Wasteland, as well as the larger rocks of Glaze Iceberg.
- Five pieces of Moonite. Moonite is extracted from the larger rocks in Barren Wasteland.
Take the materials to Runeheart and she'll fashion something to impress her mother. The pair will reconcile, ending the quest and bumping you up to the third level of friendship with Runeheart (as well as earning you a tiny reward).
