If you check your Journal you'll find an entry for Torn Pages under the Notes section. Torn Pages are special items that you can dig up while exploring Coral Island. Whenever you find a Torn Page and check it you'll receive a small tidbit of information about one or more people living in Starlet Town. These notes contain hints that will tell you more about the likes and dislikes of the various townies in Coral Island, which is handy if you plan on befriending any of them.
There are twenty Torn Pages in Coral Island. There are, in general, two ways to find Torn Pages as you explore:
- The less-successful method for finding Torn Pages is to dig up ground using your Hoe. You'll occasionally unearth random items whenever you till soil, dirt, or sand, and every now and then you'll dredge up a Torn Page.
- More often you'll receive Torn Pages by ripping up clover. There are clovers growing along the paths of Coral Island in many different places, and if you rip one up using your Hoe there's a chance you'll find a Torn Pages. The odds that you'll receive a Torn Page from mining clover are much higher than digging at random, though you'll also need to go looking for clover using this method.
Regardless of which method you use, it appears that you can only find one Torn Page per day. (At least that's the experience I've had.) Once you've found a Torn Page you can give up on searching for a while.
The twenty Torn Pages appear at random, and you will always receive them in the same order. Here's a brief rundown of each Torn Page, and what you'll learn from them.
