Located to the northeast of Harbourtown, Autumn Hill stands a good chance of being the second major area you visit once you're done with Cassette Beasts' introductory areas. Its residents are in the 13 to 15 level range, making it a good spot for beginners to start powering up their teams. It also has a lovely autumunal aesthetic, so you can't lose by checking this place out. Though if you decide to take on the many Cultists in this area, well... they're less pleasant.
Autumn Hill can be reached by traveling to New Wirral Park, to the north of Harbourtown. Trek east of the southern bonfire in New Wirral Park and the scenery will eventually change, heralding your arrival at Autumn Hill. You can also find an entrance to Autumn Hill on the cliffs next to Glowcester Road Station.
On the east side of Autumn Hill you'll run into Bulletinos. If you manage to Record one you'll learn Bulletino Dash, a field action that propels you forward (and effectively replaces your jogging). Use Bulletino Dash when approaching large, grey rocks with cracks in them and you'll burst right through them.
Locations of Note
- Autumn Hill's bonfire is found at the 'end' of the route, requiring you to circle the entire area and reach the highest point. You'll get more use out of New Wirral Park's northeastern bonfire during your first trips to this area.
- East of Autumn Hill's southern border you'll find a Landkeepers Office. To get inside you'll need to climb onto the cliffs above the office.
- As you travel north along the west side of Autumn Hill you'll find a huge, wooden palisade fence blocking your progress. On the right side of the fence is a lever that you can pull to drain the water in front of the fence, revealing a pit with a blocked door. Step on the button south of the door to open it, revealing a path into Autumn Hill Caves. Inside this small chamber you'll find a locked chest and a button puzzle. Place stones on the two bottom buttons, then stand on the upper-right button. This lowers the palisade wall, as well as unlocks the chest.
- At the north end of Autumn Hill the camera will swing eastward. Look on your left, down by the water's edge, to find an entrance to Autumn Hill Caves.
- On the east side of Autumn Hill, in the area full of Bulletinos, you'll find a dirt pit with a lowered bridge and a bit of water. Check the right side of the pit - look for some telltale zZzs floating into the air - and you'll find Zedd, one of the Ranger captains. He'll give you the Scattershot side quest, and you'll get a chance to fight him. Near Zedd you'll find the lever that raises the bridge, allowing you to continue south.
- In the southeast of Autumn Hill, just before you make your way to the central plateau, you'll find a rock wall with weak blocks that you can burst through via Bulletino Dash. You'll find an entrance to Dino Quarry, The Deadlands on the other side. (Though be careful when you dash, as going too hard will send you flying over a ledge and potentially landing in trouble.)
- Southwest of the bonfire is a set of stairs leading to a chest and a switch. Pull the switch and you'll create a continuous gust of wind from the ground below. This will allow you to reach the upper, central area of Autumn Hill without needing to go all the way around again.
- At the top of the central plateau you'll find Mourningtown, which plays a major role in the quest I Ran So Far Away. To the right of the entrance you'll find Mournington Crescent Station, and you can speak to Magikrab to activate this spot as a fast travel point.
Items
- Not far from the entrance to Autumn Hill you'll see a locked chest in a shallow pond. To the left of the pond is a raised section of land with a switch on it. Find yourself a stepping stool of some kind - there are rocks you can grab from Glowcester Road Station to the north, for example - and you can hit the switch, opening the chest. It contains a Thunder Blast Sticker, a Basic Tape, Wood, and Plastic.
- The chest in the cave beneath the wooden palisade fence contains a Compliment Sticker, a Chrome Tape, Wood, and Plastic.
- North of the wooden palisade fence is a locked chest. In order to open it you'll need to place something on a button on the other side of the cliff to the west, in New Wirral Park. There are two rocks in a nearby pond that will do nicely. The chest contains a Critical AP Sticker and a Basic Tape.
- In the north of Autumn Hill, after the camera flips around, you'll find a beach at the base of the cliffs. Inside is a cave with a rock. Destroy the rock with Bulletino Dash to reveal a ramp. Dash to fly over the ramp and land on a gear, then dash again over the other ramp on the gear, heading west. You'll find a lever that will rotate the gear. Head south of the lever and dash to the right to return to the entrance, then zip over to the gear again. There's now a ramp pointing north, which will send you to a chest. The chest contains a Gear Shear Sticker. This Sticker is difficult to find otherwise, so you want to grab it now, as it allows a Bulletino Remaster (Velocirifle) to transform into Gearyu.
- In the southeast of Autumn Hill you'll find several sets of stairs up to the central plateau. Between the third and fourth sets of stairs is a southbound path leading to a hidden button. Press the button to reveal a chest containing a Compliment Sticker, an Ice-IX Tape, Plastic, and Wheat.
- Southwest of Autumn Hill's bonfire are stairs. At the bottom you'll find a chest containing a Plastic Knife Sticker, a Basic Tape, Metal, and Pulp.
- Northeast of the bonfire is a Cultist standing by what appears to be a tall barber's pole. Near the pole is a stone that you can bust up with Bulletino Dash. Beneath it is a chest containing a Shooting Star Sticker, an Aerosol Tape, and Wood.
- East of Mourningtown you'll see a platform with a chest on it, snugged up beside the cliff. Drop down from the central plateau, onto the platform, and you can open the chest to retrieve a Custom Starter Sticker, Wood, and Pulp. The perspective makes this drop a little tricky, so try to glide your way down.
